Adoption by Shepherd Care is Hague accredited and fully licensed to provide services to families adopting internationally. An international adoption is a great option for many families, and ASC is proud to have a mature, ethically-sound adoption program in the above-mentioned countries. We also provide Hague-accredited home study and post-adoption services, as well as immigration and dossier assistance to families adopting from any country.

The International Adoption Process

Adoption by Shepherd Care can help families navigate the requirements of USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) to adopt a child. These services include:

Preparing and submitting the I800A for Hague Convention countries and the I600A for non-Hague Convention countries (documents necessary for parent approval).

Preparing and submitting the I800 and I600 forms once you have accepted the referral of your child.

Preparing and submitting the DS260 form is required to get a visa for your child so that he or she will enter as U.S. citizen.

Post Adoption Services

ASC is committed to your family as you return to the U.S. Our professional counselors are equipped to provide safe and non-judgmental counseling to you, your child and their siblings. We understand that the transition of a child into a new country, culture, language, and customs affects all members of the family. We believe adoption education and support are vital to healthy bonding and adjustment. ASC is committed to this life-long process with you.
